TourCare Future Trip Credit Program by STORY

Enjoy up to 100% trip protection (choose between 100%, 75% or 50% Future Tour Credit of your paid package) even on last-minute cancellations when you purchase our TourCare Future Trip Credit Protection Program (TourCare). This is not insurance. TourCare is offered to any STORY Guest(s) who wishes to postpone travel and cancel (for any reason). Guests must purchase TourCare within seven (7) days of your first deposit. TourCare can be purchased no later than 180 days prior to your trip departure date. Guests may then cancel their trip up to 48 hours prior to your trip departure date and receive TourCare future trip credit. When Guests need to utilize the TourCare program, the rebooked travel must be completed within two (2) years of the date of the original trip date on a comparable, and available tour.  

Feel better knowing you have up to two full years to enjoy your rebooked STORY vacation. Nobody wants to miss out on their vacation. But when it’s unavoidable, we don’t think you should be penalized. Get TourCare and know your vacation is covered with a future trip credit. 

Remember, TourCare is not trip insurance and we highly recommend you purchase Trip Interruption insurance from Travelex for while you’re on travels with us.  

TOURCARE PROGRAM
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
 

1. What is the TourCare program? The TourCare program guarantees up to 100% future trip credit to guests who wish to postpone travel, no matter the reason. This is not insurance. TourCare is offered to any STORY Guest(s) who wishes to postpone travel and cancel (for any reason). Guests must purchase TourCare within seven (7) days of your first deposit. TourCare can be purchased no later than 180 days prior to your trip departure date. Guests may then cancel their trip up to 48 hours prior to your trip departure date and receive TourCare future trip credit. When Guests need to utilize the TourCare program, the rebooked travel must be completed within two (2) years of the date of the original trip date on a comparable, and available tour.  

2. Do all trips qualify for the TourCare program? Any new booking on any STORY Branded Tour or Personalized Journey made on or after May 8, 2020 qualifies for the TourCare Future Tour Credit Program: TourCare must be purchased within seven (7) days of your first deposit.

For Existing Reservations: TourCare can be purchased for existing reservations for travel to commence after August 27, 2020 except where voided by previously arranged special terms and conditions between STORY and Guest(s). 

3. When can I purchase the TourCare program? TourCare must be purchased within seven (7) days of your first deposit. TourCare may be purchased no later than 180 days prior to your trip departure date. 

4. What is included in the Future Tour Credit? When a Guest utilizes the TourCare program benefit, they will receive up to 100% Future Tour Credit (based on the benefit percentage of 50, 75 or 100% selected at time of purchase) less the cost of the TourCare program.

5. Do I get the cost of TourCare as a Future Tour Credit? No, the cost of the TourCare Future Tour Credit is not part of your future tour credit. When a Guest utilizes the TourCare program benefit, they will receive up to 100% Future Tour Credit (based on the benefit percentage selected at time of purchase) less the cost of the TourCare program. 

6. What new itinerary or trip can I replace my original booking with by utilizing the TourCare Future Tour Credit? Your future itinerary (same minimum number of days from original package) or trip must be replaced with the same itinerary you originally selected, otherwise, additional change fees will be required. Guests may add additional days to the rebooked itinerary and will be responsible for these costs.

7. If the initial booking is within final payment (within 180 days of trip departure date), can a guest add the TourCare program to their booking? Unfortunately, this offer is only for bookings that are outside of the final payment window (180 days prior to published trip departure date). Trips that are less than 180 days prior to the published trip departure date are not eligible. 

8. Who is eligible to purchase TourCare? Any STORY Guest may purchase this product unless prohibited by your state of residence. 

9. If a guest already has a third-party insurance that they purchased on their own, can they still purchase TourCare? Yes, because TourCare is not Insurance. 

10. How long does a guest have to redeem the TourCare Future Tour Credit? The future tour credit is valid for travel through two (2) years following the original tour date, on any applicable, comparable and available STORY tour. 

11. What happens if there’s a difference in tour fare between the Future Tour Credit a guest receives, and the tour that they would like to book next? If the tour fare on the Guest’s rebooked trip exceeds the Future Tour Credit’s value, the Guest(s) will be responsible for the difference. Alternatively, if the new tour fare is lower than the Future Tour Credit’s value, a new Future Tour Credit will be issued for the remaining balance and will be kept in your STORY Travel Bank and must be utilized within two (2) years of the original tour date. 

12. Is the future tour credit transferable? Future tour credits are non-transferrable, and not redeemable for cash. 

13. Are Future Tour Credits interchangeable between STORY’s family of brands? Future Tour Credits are brand-specific and must be redeemed on the brand where the cancellation occurred.

14. Do the same parameters apply to both Group and Individual reservations? Yes, TourCare can be purchased for group departures. Branded Tours cannot be substituted for Personalized Journeys.  

15. Upon cancellation, will I be credited for any pre- or post-tour purchases such as extensions or add-ons, for on-tour products such as excursions, etc.? Yes, all pre- and post-tour purchases along with on-tour excursions will be credited along with the future tour credits. 


Terms & Conditions: 

TourCare must be purchased within seven (7) days of your first deposit. If your trip departure date is within 180 days at time of deposit booking, TourCare is not available. Trips that are less than 180 days prior to the published trip departure date are not eligible. The program applies to new reservations made on or after May 8, 2020, or †existing reservations for travel to commence after August 27, 2020 except where voided by previously arranged special terms and conditions between STORY and Guest(s). TourCare provides up to 100% Future Tour Credit (based on the plan chosen by the guest) for cancellation for any reason up to 48 hours prior to departure date. TourCare credits are valid for two years beyond the original departure date and are non-transferrable, and not redeemable for cash. TourCare provides the prepaid non-refundable portion of the tour fare only and does not include any on-tour airfare. To be eligible for credits, written notification of cancellation (email is required) must be given to STORY prior to the published trip departure date and must be confirmed in writing by STORY that we are in receipt of your notification. If you already cancelled your vacation with STORY, please contact customer service at 1 877 865 6711. TourCare does not apply to airfare booked through STORY Air. Note: The plan cost is not refundable even if you are canceling outside of STORY’s published penalty period (prior to 180 days prior to published trip date).
